PROJECT GANYMEDE @ the 5th Backdoor Ventures ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL

After a year-long hiatus, PROJECT GANYMEDE comes back with a powerful new lineup and an even more cosmically refueled sound. First stop: The 5th Backdoor Ventures Arts & Music Festival...

PROJECT GANYMEDE’s music is a heady fusion of traditional, classical, organic, electronic, ambient, ethnic, and ethereal elements. The convergence of light and darkness, creating a distinct sound that represents genres across time and space. The group is a powerful assemblage of artists in their own fields; with poet, mentor, and performance artist Yanna Verbo Acosta standing as the fiery frontwoman. Their major influences - Sarah Brightman, Anggun, Ojos de Brujo, Delerium, and Enigma, among others - resonate in their own materials. Indeed, a global musical brew certified to take the audience to a higher plane.
Their past performances are at various major events such as the 2008 Urian Awards at the CCP;
Fete de la Musique 2008 at the Mall of Asia; Artists Fair Pilipinas Year 3 in Eastwood City; Chromatext Reloaded 2007at the CCP to name a few.
They also perform at venues around the metro. Catch them live at Mag:Net Bonifacio Highstreet, Mag:Net Katipuna, Penguin Gallery Café, 70's Bistro, Market! Market!, and The Podium among others.

PROJECT GANYMEDE will be performing on Feb 7, 2010 at 5:00pm…Watch out for their hard-kicking collaboration with the Kink King of funk-rock erotique, ELECTROMOMMA's frontman Niño Barrios! The 5th BACKDOOR VENTURES ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL is on Feb 5 -7, 2010 at the Megatrade Hall 2, SM Megamall.
